Centre for Public History is organizing the presentation of the book “Slavonijo, tri put si gorila …”. Podravska Slatina in the Second World War 1941-1945. by the historian Milan Radanovic. Presentation and discussion will be held on Friday, June 14th, at 7 pm, at the Centre for Cultural Decontamination (Bircaninova 16).
The book includes some of the most dramatic events that took place between 1941 and 1945 in the wider area of the slatinska Podravina and Brđanska, where several ethnic communities lived before the Second World War, with Croats and Serbs in majority. With the use of previously unpublished archival material, the book deals with some of the most important aspects of the wartime past in the Slatina region.
In addition to the author, in the discussion will participate historian Milan Koljanin from the Institute for Contemporary History of Serbia, historian Milovan Pisarri from the Center for Public History, and Aneta Vladimirov from the Serb National Council. The discussion will be moderated by Marijana Stojčić from the Center for Public History.
